ECH offers residential treatment for children whose family could not care for them. In the beginning the residential services were that of an orphanage, giving children a home where they could grow up, having as normal of a life as possible.
Today, while the children are not orphans anymore, they still are offered a place they can live and resume some more normal life activities, free of abuse, neglect and in a safe environment. Currently there are fifty children living in the cottages on campus and six more in the Baur Group Home. The units on campus include the Social and Behavioral Learning Unit, the Boys and Girls Safe Intensive Units and the Boys and Girls Open Units.
